About Hickory Peaks
Hickory Peaks immerses readers in a dark, woodsy mystery webcomic about a young woman investigating her brother’s twelve-year disappearance. After getting lost in the woods, young Ashlyn witnesses a sinister event that marks the last time she saw her brother alive. Despite her family and the police trying to rationalize her story as trauma-induced, Ashlyn knows that something took her brother away that night in the woods. After graduating high school, she moves to Hickory Peaks to find answers. As she investigates the town, she discovers secrets far darker than she expected.
About the Creator
Hi there, I’m Minhytoo! I manage the story, artwork, and website for the Hickory Peaks webcomic. I create with the premise that a well-written story is the core of any visual narrative (including webcomics). That’s why I’ve already put over 300 hours of work into finishing the Hickory Peaks script so that I can focus on creating the best website and comic panels possible for you.
I’ve been traditionally trained in illustration art for almost five years (and ongoing) and am a self-taught website builder. I enjoy the craft of writing good stories and learning all about what makes a story work.
My prayer is that you’ll enjoy the story of Hickory Peaks and experience the important themes running throughout it. Despite the dark moments of Hickory Peaks, there’s lessons of hope to be learned through the course of the story.
